johnpfish I completely enjoyed this album of driving rhythm, sweet melody, haunting voices, drone, and noise. There is something very New York here. Profound intimacy with guarded vulnerability in concise, visual lyrics. Holding the album, a novel hidden in all those tiny words, like fish in a school, is powerful and curious. This is a magnificent work.

Also of note, the sax player in the role of "The Summoner". Playing like a snake charmer or Pied Piper. Like a ritual. Perfect for the record’s themes.
